Bob Novak - NY -25 leaning democratic

Maffei has strong liberal backing and is a skilled campaigner who now has experience. Currently, he is unopposed for the Democratic nomination.

...and there are murmurs that the National Republican Congressional Committee
is giving up on this district to focus on stopping losses elsewhere.

In short, any Republican but Walsh would be hard-pressed to win this district, and Maffei is a strong candidate. Maffei is a favorite now, and by the fall, he could be a shoo-in. Leaning Democratic Takeover.

Maffei is a childish name-calling carpet-bagger. Just what upstate New Yorkers deserve to continue the downward spiral of their economy, and hemorraging of population. Reward those who stay by taxing them to death, or better yet, overtax their employers. Brilliant.

Ditto to that. NY was once great state for many to live in. My father moved up near Rochester when Kodak was growing in the early 70s. Now, though MSM thinks Dems are more favored due to a worse economy in NY (but still, anything could happen till Nov-08). If they prevail, I'm very skeptical that the Dems can do anything to jump-start the economy, let alone their traditional tax-n-spend, over regualte the businesses policies. Now with then Gov. Spitzer gone who was once regarded as the one to reform the sagging economy, I wonder what Gov. Paterson will do?

Anyone but Maffei '08
