And he wants to do in Congress what he's done to keep manufacturing jobs in CNY:
Randy Wolken, a Central New York business and civic leader, plans to announce today that he will seek the Republican nomination to run for the congressional seat of retiring Rep. James Walsh.
Wolken, 43, of Syracuse, will become the second Republican to announce his candidacy for the 25th Congressional District seat.
Wolken, president of the Manufacturers Association of Central New York since 2001, said in an interview Tuesday that he has a diverse background that has prepared him for the job. He will conduct a news conference at 10 a.m. today at the Syracuse Renaissance Hotel, 701 E. Genesee St., to announce his candidacy.
