Walsh Endorses Drag Queen for President

I wonder which one sold Walsh on him?

Hey Watcher... What do you think Walsh is gonna do now that the Dems put a binding withdrawal plan on the table? I'm betting he goes back to the Repubs

This is a smart move by Walsh. He can be pretty sure that Guliani will not be the Republican nominee, and whoever is will lose badly in '08. The Walsh '08 refrain will be "I'm not with those guys" - and this will help a few people to believe him.

This is all a part of his symbollic differentiation strategy: He'll spend two years doing his best to *look and sound different* from most of his fellow Republicans. But people who've paid attention will know that it's just an act. Still, the fact he's trying harder at even this symbollic endeavor is a good sign.

J - It's a tough call which way he'll go, let's see if he can put his money where his mouth is.

Anony - It's interesting that the last two Republicans Walsh has endorsed in primaries, Rudy Giuliani and Bill Weld, that both disagree with him on abortion. If he can support Republicans who are pro-choice in a district that is overwhelmingly pro-choice, why does he have such a radical position on the issue?
