poll results delayed

Maffei-Walsh poll results delayedThe release of an independent poll of the race between Republican U.S. Rep. Jim Walsh and his Democratic challenger, Dan Maffei, which was to have been released at 5 p.m. today, has been delayed.Look for updates here on the status of the poll.

Channel 9 previewing poll results - noted - can't reveal the results - but notes its VERY Close
but this was before the results were delayed.

wonder if the results are too close & now the walsh campaign is questioning everything...

Update from The Watcher

I'm getting this second hand, but what I am hearing is that Dan is narrowly leading this time, and Walsh is whining.

Update #2

Here is what was said by 9 news:

After reviewing the data presented by the polling organization, Zogby International, the editors at the Post-Standard raised a number of questions about the method used by Zogby to draw the sample of likely voters. Well, those questions have not been answered to the satisfaction of either the newspaper or News Channel 9, and as a result, we will not be reporting the data.

Whether or not that means there will be a repoll or the results will ever be released is unclear.

Oh good grief....

The poll probably has Maffei ahead by a few points and Walsh doesn't think it's accurate.

The more this type of crap happens with these independent polls, the more I'm starting to wonder if Majority Watch's numbers aren't close to the truth.

Haven't we been here before ? Syracuse is starting to look like Florida in 2000.

Only one thing is for sure. We need to bring out the vote at this point. The Republicans are going to use every sick and dirty trick, lie, and who knows what else to win. So listen to Bill Clinton's advice and talk to everyone you know to get them out to vote.

From the Post-Standard

"The Post-Standard had planned today to publish the results of a poll on the 25th Congressional District race between Democrat Dan Maffei and Republican Jim Walsh.

Editors and reporters for the newspaper are still reviewing those results. The poll was commissioned by The Post-Standard and NewsChannel 9, and conducted by Utica-based pollster Zogby International. Because the review had not been finished, Channel 9 did not air the results Tuesday night."

I wonder if we will ever seen the results of this poll.

GOTV people!

The only poll that is 100% and final is the one on November 7. Get out and vote and tell you neighbors, friends, co-workers, letter carrier and everyone you come in contact with. Just remember to push Dan Maffei.

regarding the PS (BS) poll I would wager a million dollars Maffei was ahead. What a rag it is.

This is such B.S.! Walsh's website is busy bashing Zogby, and the public does not even get to hear what Zogby found.
