From Bob Novak:

The alarming public poll showing Rep. James Walsh (R) losing to challenger and former Rangel staffer Dan Maffei (D) District 25 is not credible, but Walsh leads by only about five points, far less than he is accustomed to at this point in the cycle. This race will be close.

Bill Clinton and Rahm Emanuel will be in town:

The stage will undoubtedly be packed with politicians, but the rally will focus on the candidates running for Congress in the 23rd, 24th and 25th districts, said Ben Yarrow, a spokesman for Clinton.

Maffei, meanwhile, is bringing in the 11th-ranking Democrat in the House, Rep. Rahm Emanuel, for a $199-per-person fundraiser at the Blitman & King law firm in Franklin Square at 5:30 p.m. today.

Some other news. Exxon reported a 10.4 BILLION dollar profit. Thats profit, not revenue. Thats this quarter (just the last 3 months), not the last year. Makes you wonder why gas prices went up.

Novak is lying. Walsh's internal polls have him at 4 - like Dan's were a few weeks ago. I bet if polling goes out this week after the debates - Dan will be ahead!

Also, Novak was here 10 years ago for the Marty Mack race and he commented that Walsh was an awful public speaker.
