Maffei's Straight Talk on Iraq vs. Walsh's Silence

Dan Maffei explains on his website what he thinks about Iraq. He does so in clear words. In contrast, Jim Walsh's website has not one word to say about Iraq.

This simple fact highlights the difference between the two men.

From Dan Maffei's website:

"Now is the time to bring our brave troops home from Iraq in as safe as possible a way and allow the Iraqi people to govern themselves"

"I support an independent congressional investigation of those Bush Administration officials involved in bringing our nation to war under false pretexts."

Contrast that with Walsh's campaign website, specifically his issues section.

You'll see "endorsements", "agriculture", "Ireland", etc...

But nothing on Iraq. Why? Is Walsh hiding from the Iraq issue?

Or maybe he thinks the isolated folk in Syracuse think more about "agriculture" and "Ireland" then the country the US is fighting a WAR in.

Hello??

The contrast between Jim Walsh and Dan Maffei could not be clearer. Readers, please help Dan Maffei however you can and lets send Jim Walsh into retirement.

Maffei just spews slogans and platitudes. He has no plan. Maybe Jim doesn't have a clear plan either, but you have given me no reason to vote for Maffei over Walsh.

18 years and he still has no clear plan and this is ok with you? Guess party label is all it takes.

Anonymous 1, I patially accept your chalange in defining Maffei's "plan". I say partially, because I think its somewhat unfair to put all the burdens of the world (Iraq , deficit, etc) on one person. The job he is going for wont have that kind of responsibility. I also think it is very hard to talk about Iraq except with platitudes. What do you want him to do, get a PhD in the subject?

Nevertheless, with that conditional promise in mind, I encourage you to post a message with more specifics. For example, what plan are you looking for? What subject? I doubt Maffei has a 50 slide power point presentation, but I am certain it is possible to contrast his view with Jim Walsh's.
