Fourth Debate Scheduled

The Dan Maffei for Congress campaign has announced that it has accepted a fourth debate at the University's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. The debate, accepted by the Walsh campaign in August, will be televised live by Syracuse CBS affiliate WTVH-5 from 6-7 p.m. on Monday, October 23.

Two more debates are set for October 17 (Time Warner's News10Now in Syracuse and RNews in Rochester at 7 p.m.) and Syracuse NBC affiliate WSTM-3 on October 22 at 9 a.m. (Central New York Weekend Today).

"This is an extremely close race, and it's important that we have an open and productive dialogue so that the voters of the 25th Congressional District have every opportunity to hear our views," said Maffei. "I commend Congressman Walsh for meeting this challenge and agreeing to a full series of debates."

The Maxwell School debate will be televised live in front of an audience of Syracuse University students, faculty, and members of the community. It will be the only live televised debate on the schedule, however for the October 17 debate citizens may e-mail questions for the candidates to debates@news10now.com.
