News 10 Now?

The News 10 story was screwed up in so many ways!

First of all, from what I hear the reporter never called WCNY to confirm that, in fact, Walsh HAD accepted. Other reporters did, and that's why they reported differently. Dan Gage lied to News 10, claimed they had "accepted days ago" and the reporter believed it without verifying it with WCNY. Walsh accepted the debate after Maffei put out his media advisory and the stupid reporter at Channel 10 failed to do his job.

Second, the B.S. about Walsh having a campaign HQ was a gross overstatement and that it is listed on "many websites" is equally misleading. Walsh doesn't even list his campaign HQ on HIS OWN website. His FEC reports list that he pays rent to the Republican HQ where Maffei delivered the letter, and even MORE remarkable, his official campaign formation documents filed with the FEC list an address across the street from Belleview Country Club.

Walsh must be afraid a - HORROR! - Constituent might actually want to come see him at his campaign office to ask about his positions.

I would bet that if anyone went to the location Walsh "claims" is his campaign HQ, nobody will be there. It will be an empty office, or at best, there will be some intern there who answers a phone.

The news media is being COMPLETELY irresponsible in the way they cover this race.

Yea they have it all wrong, after all, this is obviously a high priority for the DCCC, by the way, I didn't see NY-25 on there.

I hope Maffei can pull off a "Ned Lamont" with Walsh. Walsh voted with Bush 9 out of 10 times.

One of the many good ideas Dan Maffei has is to get those oil companies like Exxon Mobile - actually all the big ones that are making obscene profits while we are paying dearly at the pump - having a windfall profits tax.
