NARAL Endorses Dan

NARAL Pro-Choice America has endorsed Dan Maffei according to Roll Call(subscription required):

Also this week NARAL announced endorsements of four House candidates, all of them Democrats. The group has gotten behind Iraq war veteran Tammy Duckworth(D) in Illinois' open 6th district race, Iraq veteran and attorney Patrick Murphy (D) in Pennsylvania's 8th district, former Congressional aide Dan Maffei (D) in New York's 25th district and Oneida County District Attorney Michael Arcuri (D) in New York's 24th district.

My opinion on this is Hallelujah! Normally I would consider any anti-choice Republican vulnerable on the issue of choice, but Jim Walsh's extreme position on the issue makes him particularly vulnerable. I hope this is a signal Dan intends to press hard on this issue as the election heats up. This is an issue where a sharp contrast on and where Walsh is not just out of touch with his district, but the entire country.

Interesting that Walsh does not mention these views in his website in the "issues" section. Instead, theres a link to his co-sponsered and sponsered legislation- which turns out to be a musty list of platitudes (mostly non controversial position statements on various issues).
Maybe he hides his anti abortion stance conveniently - except before friendly like minded audiences.

Reviewing that legislative list amazes me. This is what CNY has to show for 18 years?? He should at least add a "pork list" on the web as that seems to be what his supporters like, and then we could evaluate it.

Everyone in CNY is paying for this guy's lackluster "job for life" performance!

CNY desperately needs a new representative who is compotent, intelligent, and energetic.

That how Jim Walsh keeps up his "moderate" image, he tells people all the issues he's "moderate" on while hiding the vast majority of his opinions which are too conservative for Central New York.
