Movin On Up pt. 4

The new House Race Rankings came out yesterday and Jim Walsh is on the rise, just not in the way he'd like. Walsh's race is now rated as the 39th most competitive house race. Last month, Walsh was rated at 45th and back when the ratings started in March, he was rated 50th.

39. NEW YORK-25 (Walsh-R) Last Ranking: 45
A clear Democratic field means Walsh may have to worry.

And congrats to an anonymous reader who guessed the race would jump to 38th in the comments. I had guessed 44th, shows what I know.

Encouraging news- but its all fluff. We cannot be satistfied until Walsh is out for real and in the dustheap of history.

- Everyone in CNY needs to know SOLID that Dan Maffei is out there- we have a really excellent alternative this time for the Democrats. There is NO EXCUSE for Walsh to be the 'default choice'. Solution: Commercials, bumper stickers, and word of mouth. Tell your neighboors and friends and make sure they vote and put a sticker on your car. Get a sticker from Dan's campaign office or website.

- DOUBLE CHECK you are registered! Plan ahead for when and where you will vote.

Watcher: nothing today on our illustrious president's first veto in 6 years? Could it have been for a tax cut that helped the rich at the expense of the poor? Could it have been to stop the out of control spending by our bloated government? No, Bush decided to spend his first veto on a Stem Cell research! A bill supported by massive majorities in each chamber, by Republicans like Frist and Hatch, and one that could save millions of lives. And while the Senate had the votes to overturn this cruel veto, the House fell short. And who voted against the stem cell bill AND the override? Our own Jim Walsh!!! Dan needs to say this early and often!!!

Glad to see it moved to 39 and thanks for the congrats on my 38... if this was the price is right I'd be going up to hug Bob right now...

While I still think Maffei is the best candidate for the job, I'm quite concerned that the Campaign is fighting with one hand tied behind their it's back. Why do Democrats around the country refuse to directly attack their opponents? Something about their way of interacting with the Community feels like they are playing the part of the perpetual C Student... doing the minimal amount possible in hopes of passing.

This campaign can kick it into overdrive RIGHT NOW on their recent momentum, but I really don't sense it happening right now.

If you haven't contributed $ or volunteer time, you need to help NOW or look back with regret
