Disgracing the Constitution

Jim Walsh and his Republican comrades are at it again. Today the took extra special time to give Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and Ben Franklin the finger by holding a vote to put a gay marriage ban in the constitution, that only is already outlawed by federal law and nearly every state but also had no chance of passing. Walsh, of course, voted for it, he knows who he is responsible to, George Bush and Republicans in Washington not his constituents.

Interestingly of the 9 vulnerable Republicans in districts with an equal or greater Democratic lean than Walsh's only two supported the amendment. The other seven know where their constituents are, this is just another example of Jim Walsh being way out of touch.

CNYorkers realy, realy need to know what the Walsh puppet is doing in their name, all for the sake of some kickback pork that do zilch for our economy. Its an outrage. Recently in Conneticut a giant float was in a parade showing Joe Lieberman kissing George Bush. It made all the newscasts and even the right wing biassed organs had to show it. Maybe thats the kind of high profile publicity needed to wake people up.

1. Rent a flatbed truck and put a giant paper mache Jim Walsh giving the finger to the flag, drive around Cuse durring rush hour?

2. Rent billboards on Erie Blvd, Downtown, rt 81, etc, with a picture of Walsh hugging Bush or DeLay or similar nutcase?

something, need ideas.

A float/billboard with Walsh kissing Bush would be perfect!

Giving the finger or other such gestures would just brand the creator as a wacko too, and may turn off some folks.

Agreed- a "finger" would not help anything. The Leiberman kissing thing actually happened and was a widely circulated picture. It captures (to many people anyway) the essense of the idea that he drifted too far to the right. Similarily a Walsh photo brought to light that exposes his right wing votes and support is whats called for- a real symbol that will speak volumes of the reality of things like todays vote to trash the constitution.

Dear Walsh Watcher,
Since these anonymous posts don't all seem to come from the same person, and based on comments on previous entries, there seems to be diverse interest in your blog. There also seems to be strong interest from people who want to help Dan Maffei. Why not start a fundraising campaign to get contributions for Dan Maffei through your blog? It's no secret that the filing deadline is early this quarter...

anonymous @ 11:45,

I've been thinking of doing something along those lines. Hopefully I'll have something like that soon.

I like the idea of bumper stickers distributed by this blog. Maybe on the side of the blog a link to where to obtain them could be given. Bumper stickers are one way to let people know there is an alternative to Walsh this november.
