Each speaker will talk for 20/25 minutes outlining his For/Against argument regarding the war. Walsh, Schumer, Clinton, and their opponents have been invited to attend. They will present their position on the war following the speakers. Invited audience comments at the end limited to 3 minutes. Paper ballot vote will be conducted at the end of the program. (Are you for or against the war?)
Looks like Jim was invited, but I wouldn't be expecting him to be in attendance. Partly because he has an event today too:
Experts on the political situation in Northern Ireland are coming to Syracuse University College of Law April 20 to participate in the ÂIrish Peace Forum - The Way Forward, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Room 104 of MacNaughton Hall.
Participants in the forum include Congressman James Walsh (R-NY), John OÂDowd, chair of the Upper Bann Sinn Fein, and Anne Porter, director of the Ulster Unionist North American Bureau, as well as a representative from the British Embassy, the Lawyers Alliance for Justice in Ireland, and an Irish-born lawyer who has worked to counter the harsh effects of immigration laws here in the U.S.
PS. A small clue for those who are wondering about my identity, Peace Action of Central New York's Co-Chair's wife was my high school guidance counselor.
