Jim Makes the List

The Hotline unveiled their new list of competitive House Races, the 1st-24th most competitive and the 25th-50th "mid-majors." Jimbo slid in at #50:

50. NEW YORK-25 (Walsh-R)
Whether the Democrats will actually target Walsh is unclear, but by the numbers, this should be the best pickup opportunity in the state.

So which major team that fell to a mid-major would that make Jimbo, Pitt, the team we love to hate, UNC, the up and coming youngins? No, I'll go with Tennessee, vastly overrated.

Jimbo has the 50th most vulnerable House seat and is ranked as holding the 38th most vulnerable Republican seat (the Democrats lost 52 seats in 1994). And they reference what I've been saying all along, the more this election is fought on national issues, the bigger trouble Jimbo is in.

Here is an article in today's (3/23) Boston Globe that highlights the 'Cuse district as competitive.

Hmm...this district has Syracuse in it so it's a no-brainer to say that it may be competitive
