Maffei Hits Walsh
I guess the Sub-Standard has finally decided to pay attention to the race. Today it reported on Jimbo's flip-flop on port security. It even included a statement from Dan Maffei:
"Mr. Walsh again voted the party line and rejected a proposed increase in funding for port security when the issue was not front-page news," said Dan Maffei, of DeWitt. "In fact, less than one year ago, Jim Walsh voted against . . . a bill that would have included $400 million in additional funding for port security."
It's about time.
PS. I was going to report on Maffei's press release on this issue Friday, but had hoped to give Paloma Capanna equal time. Unfortunately her campaign didn't respond, nor did they take the opportunity to issue a press release.
